FLANGED EXTERNAL PRESSURE EXPANSION JOINT
In order to absorb high expansions in long pipe lines, multi-knot expansion joints are used. Flanged external pressure expansion joints are used in order to get the expansions occurring in the high pressure and long pipe lines, to reduce the number of expansion joint in the installation and to prevent the axial misalignments that will occur with torsion. Pressure in flanged external pressure expansion joint; the forces that cause torsion are balanced off, thus reducing the number of knuckles and minimizing the torsional risk of the expansion joint .
